Been a few days now since my s2000 randomly wont display the green key on the dash which means I cant start the car - i've been checking fuses, battery pretty much everything I could think of or find online to check and ive narrowed it down to the immobiliser which turns out Honda UK allowed Hamilton Palmer to fit.
Has anyone any experience with these Hamilton Palmer alarms? It sounds like they all go tits up eventually but I dont no whether this one can be fixed or what to do. I've stripped out the d/side of seat and carpet and taken the actual immobiliser out of its box and can see no damage like what i've seen some s2k owners post up so I dont no what the next step is to get the car started:
By pass it?
Replace the unit?
This is a photo of the unit which some else has posted up which looks to be fried:
But mine still looks 100% so I dont no if its something small thats dodgy or basically what to do next...
anybody have any experience with this?
Also, people have said its to do with the the immobiliser relay being stuck open (and to smack it with a hammer when its concealed) but I don't no which part is the relay?
